Remarks
Courses are grouped into credit types as follows:
- Fundamental Science (FS)
- Fundamental Engineering (FE)
- Professional Design (PD)
- Human-Social Sciences (HSS)
The credit for a course is given as three numbers, which denote the class, recitation and laboratory credits, respectively. When computing the total credit, the class credit is multiplied by 1, and the recitation and laboratory credits by 0.5. For example, if the credit for a course is given as 4-0-2, the class credit is 4, the laboratory credit is 2, and the total credit is 5. Usually one credit corresponds to one hour of that activity.
